Note: This is a new system for handling penalties or bonuses for fixtures.

Background

Depending upon the rules for a league, penalties may need to be applied to fixtures for a variety of reasons, such as invalid players, players playing in the wrong order etc. or possibly a 'team' penalty for some other reason. Penalties may also be added automatically if you are using Watchdog. Alternatively, a bonus may need to be awarded.

This used to be handled by a section on the fixture entry page:

where the total points were displayed and fields for entering a penalty/adjustment.

However, for two reasons this section has now been removed:

Firstly the Team Points and adjustments/ penalties are displayed underneath the individual strings in the Result section:

 so showing them again further up is not necessary.

The other point is that the system does not properly allow for multiple adjustments or penalties for the same fixture. This is particularly an issue if you are using Watchdog and it is configured to automatically add penalties for things such as not entering results in time.

Fixture Penalties

The new system is accessed from the main fixture menu:

with the star against the button indicating that at least one fixture penalty for that fixture exists.

 On the Fixture Penalties page, you can see and edit any existing penalties, as well as adding new ones.

Adding or editing Fixture Penalties

When editing a fixture penalty, if it has been generated automatically by Watchdog, then you will not be able to change any of the main details, although you can change the Penalty value. Otherwise you can add or edit as required.
